Meet Yishai! A procurement pro who’s passionate about sports and is focused on optimizing the supply chain

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

It might sound like a cliché, but spending time with my family brings me the most satisfaction. Watching my kids grow and succeed on their own is incredibly fulfilling. Music is an important part of my life, and I love attending live concerts around the world. Staying active is also crucial to me, whether it’s running or playing padel with friends and family. Recently, I’ve been focusing on learning to cook, not just to create great food, but to bring enjoyment to others.

What’s the best aspect of the work you do?

Being part of a great team raises the bar. They say a high tide raises all ships and I think that’s true of our team. Open communication and collaboration are the core elements of our success. Personally, I am always up for a challenge, looking to create more efficient ways to do our work.

What are some current projects you are working on?

I constantly look to improve customer satisfaction by making products ready for immediate use. Turnkey solutions are hassle-free experiences for our customers, and they truly make a difference in their productivity. I’m working on improving our supply chain for all LP2 discs and 70K power meters and searching for a new camera for our beam profiler.

How do you keep up on the latest developments in laser measurement technology?

My curiosity drives me to stay on top of industry trends. I stay in the loop by attending conferences, exhibitions, and webinars, where the latest technologies are showcased, and valuable industry relationships are built. I also keep up to date through social media, LinkedIn, and professional group chats.

How are certain actions you took/take improving customers’ work process?      

The supply chain is the most important part of my job. In order to make that process smooth and improve on it, I focus on three important things. Number one, always be on the lookout for the problem, see it clearly, and take steps to solve it. Number two, I think it’s crucial to make information transparent and easily available to our customers. And finally, never miss a cost saving opportunity.
