Getting the beam size and profile of a UV laser is not trivial.
The typical beam profiling solution of a CCD camera may not be an option for many UV wavelengths, since the CCD is susceptible to damage.
Ophir provides a few accessories for converting the UV laser beam to visible light that can easily be profiled by a standard camera.
What about resizing the beam?
In some cases the beam may be too small (low resolution, high intensity) or too large (won’t fit into camera aperture). In that case, you need to convert to visible light and reimage (resize) the laser.
