Unless you’re new to StarLab, you probably already know that we come out with a new version every couple of years.
The new version is free to download, so there’s no reason not to go ahead and download it now.

But time is money, so here are a few reasons to take two minutes and download StarLab 3.40.

New Features

The latest version of StarLab now supports three new methods of measuring your laser:

  1. “Power from Pulse” for measuring very high power lasers with small, air-cooled sensors
  2. “Low Frequency Power” for measuring VCSELs and other low power, low frequency sources
  3. “Fast Power” mode, for measurement and logging at a rate of 10 kHz. This works with photodiode sensors connected to the Centauri power meter.

Compatibility

The latest version of StarLab now supports all Ophir devices, including the two newest ones: Centauri (power meter) and Juno+ (PC interface).

Remote I/O Settings (for Centauri)

Finally, StarLab 3.40 allows you to remotely set your advanced input/output settings for the Centauri power meter. This means you can set the following Centauri parameters from your PC:

  • Analog output range
  • Analog output type
  • TTL output conditions
  • External trigger input configuration
